Ether 12:6; “And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.”
Hebrews 11:1; “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Why is Moroni plagiarizing Hebrews?
How did he gain access to this epistle?
Why is he inserting such a thing into a setting that supposedly happened circa BC 2,600-2,200?
Why is he writing this as if he was the person introducing this idea?
What purpose does this serve for Mormons like my mother?
Also take note of what he said at the end of his sentence.
‘…ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.’
Look, everyone has to come to the end of themselves to realize they need the Savior. However, to insinuate you have to go through a major trial before you have faith isn’t biblical and therefore not true!
