Oh what a tangled web they weave…
In today’s dilemma we’re comparing three different versions of how the earth was created. Our sources come from the Bible, the book of Moses and transcripts from the creation re-enactment performed in LDS temple endowment ceremonies.
Our questions today are as follows –
Why is the 3rd and 4th day of creation in the temple ceremony presented in a different order than what’s written in the book of Moses and the Bible?
If the book of Moses is just another version of creation taken from the Bible then why have they changed what God said?
Why does their canon say ‘…and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good…”?
According to Mormonism their god didn’t create (make) anything. He merely organized elements that were already in existence.
Why are Adam and Elohim represented as two different beings when the Church still has Adam as God in their canon? D&C 27:11
Be sure you ask a Mormon about these things and let them know their opinion does matter to you.

Day Three | God Plants a Garden…Genesis 1:9-13; “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.” | Mormon god Plants a Garden…Moses 2:9-13; “And I, God, said: Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and it was so; and I, God, said: Let there be dry land; and it was so. 10 And I, God, called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, called I the Sea; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good. 11 And I, God, said: Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, the fruit tree yielding fruit, after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed should be in itself upon the earth, and it was so even as I spake. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, every herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed should be in itself, after his kind; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good; 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.” | Jehovah and Michael Cause Stars to Appear…“ELOHIM: Jehovah, Michael, return again to the earth that you have organized. Divide the light from the darkness. Call the light Day, and the darkness Night. Cause the lights in the firmament to appear–the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. Cause the stars also to appear and give light to the earth, the same as with other worlds heretofore created. Call your labors the third day, and bring me word.JEHOVAH: It shall be done, Elohim. Come, Michael, let us return again to the earth that we have organized.
MICHAEL: We will return again, Jehovah.
JEHOVAH: Michael, we will divide the light from the darkness, and we will call the light Day, and the darkness Night. We will cause the lights in the firmament to appear–the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. We will cause the stars also to appear and give light to the earth, the same as with worlds heretofore created. We will call our labors the third day, and return and report.
MICHAEL: We will return and report our labors of the third day, Jehovah.
JEHOVAH: Elohim, we have been down as thou hast commanded, and have divided the light from the darkness, and have called the light Day and the darkness Night. We have caused the lights in the firmament to appear–the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. We have caused the stars also to appear and give light to the earth, the same as with worlds heretofore created; and we have called our labors the third day.
ELOHIM: It is well.”

Day Four | God Decorates Our Skies…Genesis 1:14-19; “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” | Mormon god Made the Skies…Moses 2:14-19; “And I, God, said: Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven, to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years; 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so. 16 And I, God, made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the greater light was the sun, and the lesser light was the moon; and the stars also were made even according to my word. 17 And I, God, set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And the sun to rule over the day, and the moon to rule over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and I, God, saw that all things which I had made were good; 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” | Jehovah and Michael Plant a Garden…“ELOHIM: Jehovah, Michael, return again. Place seeds of all kinds in the earth that they may spring forth as grass, flowers, shrubbery, trees, and all manner of vegetation, each bearing seed in itself after its own kind, as on the worlds we have heretofore created.
