Mosiah 2:32; “But, O my people, beware lest there shall arise contentions among you, and ye list to obey the evil spirit, which was spoken of by my father Mosiah.” [emp. added]
Numbers 32:23; “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.”
Moses assured the Israelites if they obeyed God, things would go well for them.
Preparation was a key element in the role of an obedient servant and preparation in this scenario meant donning the armor given to them before they crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land. It wasn’t to be mean or controlling. Rather, it was for their protection because God didn’t want harm coming upon them.
The significant thing in this verse is when Moses said your sin will find you out! If they didn’t obey, it’d be obvious they hadn’t done so!
In this Mormon verse King Benjamin was speaking. He asked the people why contentions were present among them and said his father Mosiah had warned them about evil spirits.
The problem?
Mosiah was Benjamin’s son, not his father.
Oops.
It’s obvious Smith’s sin of making up scripture has been found out!
How inspired is this? Can the Book of Mormon truly be the ‘most correct book on the face of the earth’ if something like this is in its script?
