Isn’t this the most awesome truth in the world??? Imagine, God Himself came down to redeem me, you, and everyone else in the world! What more could we ask or hope for in life? Growing up in Mormonism isn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination. Oh please, don’t forget to pray daily for the neighbor, maybe your boss, and those who run the system in Utah. Part of the reason why life is so difficult for them is found in the way they misuse words. I didn’t know the word ‘Christ’ was a title until after I left the Church, I had always thought it was part of Jesus’ name. When you witness, emphasize the importance of King David in God’s beautiful story of redemption. When you can share the true definition for Christ with a Mormon! The definition below comes from Easton’s Bible Dictionary –
“Anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered “Messiah” (q.v.), the official title of our Lord, occurring five hundred and fourteen times in the New Testament. It denotes that he was anointed or consecrated to his great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of his people. He is Jesus the Christ (Acts 17:3; 18:5; Matthew 22:42), the Anointed One. He is thus spoken of by (Isaiah 61:1), and by (Daniel 9:24-26), who styles him “Messiah the Prince.”

LDS Tract entitled, What the Mormons Think of Christ, p. 31; “Christians speak often of the blood of Christ and its cleansing power. Much that is believed and taught on this subject, however, is such utter nonsense and so palpably false that to believe it is to lose one’s salvation. Many go so far, for instance, as to pretend, at least, to believe that if we confess Christ with our lips and avow that we accept him as our personal Savior, we are thereby saved. His blood, without other act than mere belief, they say, makes us clean.”
