February 4 – False Christs. Matthew 24:24; “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Jesus warned them. Our Lord’s compassion for us, and the Israelites, warned there would be false christs. It’s been said there have been no less than 24 people who’ve claimed to be the Messiah – the last notable one appearing in 1682. Equally as disturbing are those who point to false christs while cloaking themselves in robes of fake Christianity. Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, and Christian Scientists, are but a few of the modern day cults. The common denominator in the heretical groups is how they point accusatory fingers at our sweet Lord, and change the meaning of words. Moreover, none of these groups acknowledge, nor do they accept, Jesus is in fact, God Incarnate.
When witnessing to your Mormon friends/loved ones, be sure you use a concordance. If you don’t own a physical copy of a Strong’s Concordance, don’t hesitate to go online. Blue Letter Bible is a premier site to gather reliable information! While cultists try to change the meanings of words, they can’t change the reality of original writings. Each word had a specific meaning tying it to the time it was written. Mormons and others, like to switch things around, but they can’t change historical facts.

Mormon Doctrine, p. 127; “As far as man is concerned, all things center in Christ. He is the Firstborn of the Father. By obedience and devotion to the truth he attained that pinnacle of intelligence which ranked him as a God, as the Lord Omnipotent, while yet in his pre-existent state. As such he became, under the Father, the Creator of this earth and of worlds without number; and he was then chosen to work out the infinite and eternal atonement, to come to this particular earth as the literal Son of the Father, and to put the whole plan of redemption salvation, and exaltation in operation.”
