May 6 – Most important need. 1 Timothy 3:16; “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

A Christian’s life is spent seeking out how to fulfill their greatest need in life, and that is simply knowing more about the man Jesus who left the glory of heaven for one purpose; to die for us. If we find anything else disguising itself to take its place, it must be banished straightaway. Piety (godliness) is best defined in the way we speak of, and point to, the Cross.
Ask the Mormon you know what new thing they learned about Jesus the last time they went to the temple.
More times than not, they won’t be able to give an answer. Don’t fill in the blanks for them. Allow any silence to be the uncomfortable thing it should be. Your goal is to give them something to think about in their alone time later on. You want them to see they can be in charge of their own lives, and not do things based on what they’re told they ‘must’ do.
