Mosiah 11:3; “And he laid a tax of one fifth part of all they possessed, a fifth part of their gold and of their silver, and a fifth part of their ziff, and of their copper, and of their brass and their iron; and a fifth part of their fatlings; and also a fifth part of all their grain.”
2 Timothy 3:13; “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
There’s no such metal, element, or alloy known as ‘ziff’. If this is a misprint in the BoM, the claim that it’s the most correct book needs to be reevaluated.
If they’re claiming it’s a metal, the same results still apply.
If/when the Mormon tells you it’s a legitimate metal, but no longer around don’t accept this answer! Elements and/or metals don’t just disappear over time. It’s either a viable metal, or it’s not and you can’t have it both ways!

You forgot compounds made of more than one metal. not knowing what went into Zif or if that compound was in use in the 1830’s your statement is based on partial knowlage.
Also, I read hearca while back that a compound metal that was use during Book of Mormon times has just been found. That does not prove that it was Zif, but it does put holes in your argument.
There is a very detailed book about this topic found on http://www.bmslr.org
Mr. Grover –
We wanted to let you know we’re praying for you and have a question for you as well. The site you referenced is quite exhaustive with many apologies for proving the BoM. If as the site claims there’s ample evidence proving the BoM, why did the LDS prophet claim otherwise? In 2016 Mr. Nelson told those attending a missions conference the BoM isn’t historically accurate. See our look at Mr. Nelson’s talk Outrageous Lies of Russell Nelson to Missions Presidents https://lifeafterministry.com/2016/07/outrageous-lies-of-russell-nelson-to-missions-presidents/
How can the LDS people trust their church when the leaders don’t?
Mind you, we don’t ask this out of animosity – rather it stems from a deep concern for the spiritual welfare of each and every member.

He said it wasn’t an historical textbook which it isn’t. It is primarily a lineage history, as is most of the Old Testament. I don’t think you looked very carefully or read any of the material on the site I referenced, as the site consists entirely of books and research that I wrote or published. If you bothered to read any of them, you might gain a better understanding of what the Book of Mormon is instead of the ridiculous stuff that is on your website. I am very familiar with the Bible as I went to theology school at the Gregorian University and the Biblicum in Rome and worked inside of the Vatican. I’m a licensed civil engineer and a licensed geologist so I think you will find all of the books there very well researched to the highest academic standards and they have all been peer reviewed by non-LDS persons. Don’t worry about saving my soul, I talk to God daily and am on pretty good terms with him. I would actually read the Book of Mormon if I were you before you make all of these crazy claims. Only those who are afraid of the truth will never find it. Matthew 7:5
