October 27 – Where do you fix your eyes? Hebrews 12:2; “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Elder Whiting’s teachings are a lie, so don’t be fooled! He asked ‘when has God or Jesus ever changed to conform to societal trends?’…the answer to that is in 1904 with polygamy, and in 1978 with the race issue, for starters. We know the Jesus of the Bible is God and has never changed, but the Mormon god was once a man who became a god. These are good starting points to share with Mormons when talking about their god vs. the One True God of the Bible!

Church News, BYU Devotional in Laie, HI, ‘Fixing Your Eyes on the Prophet,’ September 27, 2016; “Prophets stand firm in the face of wickedness and denounce it when it rears its head. It has been so from the beginning. It is so today, and it will be so in the days to come. They are fixed objects. They are steadfast and immovable by very definition.”
Scriptures and prophets have taught that “God, just like His prophets, is steadfast and immovable (see Mosiah 5:15),” Elder Whiting said. “When has God or His Son, Jesus Christ, ever changed an eternal truth to conform to societal trends or, for that matter, any other reason? It is wholly inconsistent with the nature of God.””
