Zechariah 11:17 “Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”
Earlier this month Melissa kept coming across advertisements for a wide variety of things, and all of them carried the same theme. Each ad portrayed a logo, and/or message for the ‘All-Seeing-Eye’. Today we’re reviewing the true meaning of the occultic symbol, and listing a few examples of those who unfortunately, think this is cool.
First things first. What does our Lord say about it? Make no mistake my friends, He doesn’t approve, nor does He give allowances for any type of evil and the symbol of one eye is that of Horus. Here are a few scriptures to ponder –
1st Kings 21:20 “And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.”
Isaiah 13:11 “Therefore I will shake the heavens, And the earth shall remove out of her place, In the wrath of the Lord of hosts, And in the day of his fierce anger.”
Psalm 94:16 “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”
In answer to His question; we will!
Mormonism
Sadly, Mormonism is awash in pagan symbology and proudly display numerous pagan symbols on their temples. Our article ‘Inverted Stain Glass Pentagrams’ is a bullet point listing of what you can find on the outside of the Nauvoo and Salt Lake Temples. One of their displays on the Salt Lake Temple is a grandiose depiction of the ‘All-Seeing-Eye’.
Here’s what we wrote about it in 2008
“Apparently the Nauvoo Temple was to include the depiction of the all-seeing eye in the center of the top portion of the large rounded windows. Whether this was done or not cannot be determined from photographic evidence. Brigham Young called this symbol “the all-searching eye of the Great Jehovah” (J.D. 2:32).”
“Located atop each of the center towers of the temple is the all-seeing eye of God, which represents God’s ability to see all things.”
Exterior Symbolism of the Salt Lake Temple: Reflecting the Faith that Called the Place into Being
BYU Studies, Richard G. Oman, Art and Architecture, Temple, Journal 36:4;
“Spiritual Bearings. The temple is the “meeting point of the three cosmic regions”: heaven, earth, and the abode of the dead.” Page 27
Pg. 48-50 “This symbol reminded the Saints that the eye of the Lord was upon them and that all that they did should be in accordance with the will of the Lord. John Taylor noted it “penetrates and enabled to weigh the actions and motives of the children of men.”
Mr. Oman goes on to say;
Page 51 – “…the all-seeing eyes on the temple differ from all the rest…those on the Salt Lake Temple are depicted looking out from beneath a pleated veil. Veils are used to separate the sacred from the profane, the spiritual from the carnal, truth from confusion, the Lord from mankind. The veil separating man and the Lord is removed only on rare occasions of great faith and obedience…”
Truth:
The LDS Church’s obsession with Egyptian gods is obvious to all by now. The All Seeing Eye is from the false god Horus. It is supposedly the left eye of the “moon” or “sound eye” of Horus, who is the son of Isis (mother goddess of nature and magic) and Osiris (god of the underworld). The full story of how their son Horus came into being is too sexually graphic for this website, but you can find the info anywhere on the net. The point to this entry should be obvious.
Why does the Mormon temple have this symbol on their “sacred” place of worship?
The Mormons aren’t the only ones that utilize the All-Seeing Eye of Horus on their temples. The Masonic Lodge believes it is the watchful providence of God. As you can see from the example below, they’re no closer to the truth than the Mormons are. The best place to get references and information on the Masonic Lodge is from Ed Decker at Saints Alive.
The Encyclopedia of Freemasonry says this about the All-Seeing Eye; “…the Egyptians represented Osiris, their chief deity, by the symbol of an open aye, and placed this hieroglyphic of him in all their Temples…The All-Seeing Eye may then be considered as a symbol of God manifested in his omnipresence—…”The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding (or, as in the Revised Version, keeping watch upon) the evil and the good.” It is a symbol of the Omnipresent Deity.”
Here is what the One True God of the Bible has to say about these false gods –
Psalm 135:15-18; “The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. 16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; 17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. 18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.”
Toby Mac
I’m typically not in the business of being a music critic, but feel this one lends itself to the much needed warning to the body of Christ!
In the course of his life, Toby Mac has made his mark in the murky shadows of a ‘Christian’ music career. His album, “Eye On It”, released August 28, 2012, was a flagrant grandstand of Satan’s ugly manifestations. The image to the left is obviously a sign of the Illuminati, and has nothing at all to do with godly behavior, or biblical standards.
Cover Girl
I’m also not here to advocate one beauty product over another, but like Melissa, we’re simply pointing out the spiritual dangers of what’s out there! She saw an ad on t.v. depicting several young models all wearing t-shirts with one eye.
Seventh Day Adventists
Our last item of interest is another sad tale of people claiming to be Christians. Just when we thought the Seventh Day Adventists had cleaned up their act, we discovered their status of true Christians, must be questioned yet again. Years ago, Dr. Walter Martin had advocated their place in the body of Christ when they backed off the dogmatic, legalistic views on salvation. I would imagine if he were alive today he’d place them back into the previous category.
On the front pages of their magazines we found several icons with the ‘All-Seeing-Eye’ logo, aka Eye of Horus. Additionally, the logo for their community health centers brazenly show off the Eye of Horus as well. You can read through their extensive list of past and present ‘Ministry’ Magazines.
Your use of the word ‘pagan’ worries me
I take it you know about Astana?
