November 2 – 2 Samuel 7:16; “And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.”

If the claims of Joe Smith were true, not only would the body of Christ be extinct, but King David’s kingdom would be a false promise from God as well. Of course we know neither of these things are true, so be sure to share this info with a Mormon you know!
King David’s Kingdom reigned from c. BC 3,000 until the Babylonian takeover of Jerusalem. From the time of David’s Kingdom until the birth of Jesus there was always a descendant of David on established on earth.
Jesus fulfilled a unique role in being both a descendant of man, and God at the same time. Knowing that He was resurrected and will live forever, proves this prophecy will always be true. This makes the prophecy of Joe Smith false!

Doctrine and Covenants 1:30; “And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually.”
