July 12 – Don’t be afraid of evildoers! Ps. 37:1; “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.”

It can be scary for the Mormon to think there is life after Mormonism, so if and when they have decided to make the transition, remind them of verses such as Psalm 37. It is comforting for them to know the Lord is there waiting to give them an encouraging word. Teach them how to search the word for these things. Today we’re dealing with silks, horses, cows, swine and elephants. Again, the Smithsonian says there were none of these in the pre-Columbian times.

Ether 9:17-19; “Having all manner of fruit, and of grain, and of silks, and of fine linen, and of gold, and of silver, and of precious things; And also all manner of cattle, of oxen, and cows, and sheep, and of swine, and of goats, and also many other kinds of animals which were useful for the food of man. And they also had horses and asses, and there were elephants and cureloms, and cumoms; all of which were useful unto man, and more especially the elephants and cureloms and cumoms.”
there were none of these animal here till after columbus came.its all a lie
What in the heck are cureloms? The linguistic taxonomy should be enough proof for most thinking people, which shows that no logic enters into the Mormon psyche.
oh the infamous curlemoms… 😉 You know how those pesky things can be! 🙂 It all sounds most crazy doesn’t it? The sad thing about all this is how spiritually tied they become to Smith and have tossed all else aside (meaning logic).
I still vividly recall being so intimidated by their silly stories thinking that because these men who had PhDs in Physics must know more than I could ever hope to know in life. After all, I told myself, I was just a dark little girl from Utah and these guys were God’s spokesmen.
Yikes what a sin that line of thinking is! What a tragedy we allow ourselves to get caught up in when God who created all things, thought otherwise. 😉
