Psalm 16:8-10 “I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 10 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.”
The proof, they say, is in the pudding so that’s just what we’re doing today. We’re taking a look at factual info from both the Bible, and Joseph Smith’s history to see why he couldn’t offer salvation as he claimed. According to the Bible, that’s the job of the Messiah, not you, or me, nor Joseph Smith.
The fulfillment of the verse above is found in Acts 13:35-37 which reads –
“Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.”
Now let’s see what historical facts tell us about Smith.
History of the Church 6:616-618; “…Joseph gave Dr. Richards two dollars to give the guard; but the guard said one was enough, and would take no more. … The Death of the Prophet. … Joseph, seeing there was no safety in the room, and no doubt thinking that it would save the lives of his brethren in the room if he could get out, turned calmly from the door, dropped his pistol on the floor and sprang into the window when two balls pierced him from the door, and one entered his right breast from without, and he fell outward into the hands of his murderers, exclaiming. “O Lord, my God!””
After shooting, and killing 2-3 people who stormed the jailhouse, both Smith brothers were themselves shot, and killed.
Fast forward 161 years (2005) when my husband Kirk, and I were on our second missions trip to Nauvoo, and Carthage, Illinois.
At the end of the LDS Missionary guided tour in Carthage, visitors are led outside the jailhouse to the gravesite of Joseph, Hyrum, and Emma Smith.
I’ll never forget the group of people who stood around the raised memorial wailing with grief over the death of Joe Smith. All I could think of is how sad it is they’re grieving over this man buried in the ground, while I’m praising my God and Savior, Jesus, who was resurrected.
Smith’s grave is proof he couldn’t have been a Savior for the Mormon people because he’s obviously in a grave where the body can decay.
Be sure to share this fulfilled prophecy with the Mormon you know, and ask why their leaders have taught there’s no salvation without Joseph.

Jesus lead a sinless life … Joesph Smith broke every single one of the 10 commandments until the day he died. True salvation is through Christ and Christ alone. Who do you follow???
