Conference Report, April 1953, Afternoon Meeting, p.124; “Adam was the son of God. He was our elder brother, not older than Jesus but he was our brother in the same sense that Jesus was our brother, and he “fell” to earth life. He did not come up through an unbroken line of organic evolution. There had to be a fall. “Adam fell that men might be.” – Elder Marion G. Romney
Romans 5:19; “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
LDS leaders have become very cunning when it comes to shifting the focus of any subject matter, which leads to nothing but confusion of course.
Today’s Mormon quote is a classic example of what they should have pointed out. Instead. Mr. Romney deliberately chose to lead members down a path that has nothing to do with one of the most important topics in all of the Bible; consequences of the fall of man.
By not providing truthful information, the Church has essentially led members to swim deeper into the quicksand of sin.
As for the other info he provided, it must be pointed out Adam is not Jesus’ brother. Furthermore, he contradicted himself when describing the fake birth orders.
Mormons have always taught Jesus was the firstborn son of God in the pre-existence which would make him older than Adam. When it came to earth life, yes, Adam would obviously be older than Jesus, but this isn’t the whole back story found in Mormonism.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave…
It should also be noted Marion Romney was born to polygamous parents. He eventually became an LDS apostle, and was the 2nd cousin of Mitt Romney who just announced plans to run for Utah State Senator.
Ask the Mormon you know what they believe about the birth order of Jesus and Adam.
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
