Not only do Mormons have an unconventional view of Christianity, but an incorrect one as well. Today we’ve included the definition for the word ‘church’, so when you can, be sure to share these facts with the Mormon you know!
Easton’s Bible Dictionary; “We find the word ecclesia used in the following senses in the New Testament; “(1.) It is translated “assembly” in the ordinary classical sense (Acts 19:32, 39, 41).

Mormon Doctrine, p. 97 “The church was first organized on earth in the days of Adam, with that great patriarch standing as its first president, the presiding high priest over God’s earthly kingdom. The common sectarian notion that the day of Pentecost is the birthday of the Christian Church is a false heresy. …Those who join the true Church and keep their covenants gain salvation in the celestial kingdom of God. (D. & C. 10:55, 69.)” – Bruce McConkie

That last sentence sort of says it all about Mormonism; ” Those who join the “True Church” and “keep their covenants” gain salvation in the celestial kingdom of God.”..Bruce McConkie. First, the Mormon Church convinces it’s members that theirs is the Only True Church and, that my Keeping their Covenants, they can gain salvation into the celestial kingdom of God.The Mormons serve the Mormon Church, first and foremost. That is what ‘Keeping Their Covenants” is all about. They are led to believe that by doing what the church commands them to do, they are in turn serving God. A Mormon is required to have at least one Church Calling, which may very well take up much of his.her time’ they are required, first and foremost, to Tithe 10% of their income. Just to make sure members are tithing a full 10% of their income, they are required to go to Tithing Settlement, where they meet with the Bishop and confess to the Bishop whether or not they are full tithe payers. By the way, there are no other kinds of :”Settlements” in the church, such as ‘Honesty Settlements”, .””Profanity Settlements” “Pornography Settlements”., “Over Eating and Not Exercising Settlements”. Members are required to clean the church weekly . They are called upon to help people move out or move into their homes, to including wealthy members, who could very well afford a moving company. The church members are told that the more they do for the church, the more blessing they will be given by God.. The Mormon Church has complete control over how it’s members think and articulate their opinions. Mormons are not taught to think outside the box. If their Prophet hasn’t said it, then they don’t think it or express it.
