March 27 – Sinner. Romans 5:19; “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous”.

We have been born into sin (John 9:34) and have need for a Savior who can cleanse us from ourselves! The Mormons don’t believe they’ve been born under the sin of Adam, (2nd Article of Faith: “We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression”.). They say that man has their own free will to sin or not, yet their own scripture would deny this claim. Be sure to ask them why.

2 Nephi 2:21 “…for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents”.
By the obedience of one man (Jesus) many shall be made righteous. The Mormon don’t get that. They believe that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and the shedding of His Blood for the remission of our sins, is not enough. According to the Mormons, we must also serve the Mormon Church in order to be saved. The Mormon Church has instituted its own “LAW” which, according to the Mormon Church, is necessary for salvation. “Knowing that a man is not justified by the workings of the LAW (Callings, Tithing, Saving Ordinances etc) but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the WORKS OF THE LAW, for by the works of the LAW(Mormon LAW) no flesh shall be justified.” (Galatians 2:16). Also, “For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof glory, but not before God. Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” (Romans 4:2,3)
