July 15 – Kingdom of self. 1 Timothy 1:17; “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Clearly, a fair amount of confusion resided in the hearts of the Mormon people back then, just as it does today. We must ask: who is their king?

Improvement Era November 1909, Vol Xiii, No. 1, p. 19; “Every man reigns a king over the kingdom of—self. He wears the crown of individuality that no hands but his own can ever remove. He should not only reign, but—rule. His individuality is his true self, his best self, his highest self, his self victorious…Man reigns over this miniature kingdom of self—alone. He is as much an autocrat as is God in ruling the universe. No one can make him good or evil but he, himself.”
No one is good except God and we cannot make ourselves good. It is beyond human capacity. Make Jesus Christ Lord and King of your life!
Amen to that!
It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to perform the works that God would have us do. ” For it is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13)
” i can do all things through Christ that strengthen me.”(Philippians 4:13)
