August 14 – Creating Chaos with Four Accounts of God’s Creation. Genesis 1:26a “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”
_____
Since Mormons believe God had a physical body at the time Adam was created, doesn’t it cause confusion when looking at the various canons they espouse?
The KJV says, “Let us make man in Our image”. Shouldn’t the text read, “Let us make man in My image?”
That problem is intensified when the Mormon uses the book of Moses to learn about God’s creation.
Moses 2:26-27 says, “And I, God, said unto mine Only Begotten, which was with me from the beginning: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and it was so…27 And I, God, created man in mine own image, in the image of mine Only Begotten created I him; male and female created I them.”
And then Abraham 4:26-27 says “And the Gods took counsel among themselves and said: Let us go down and form man in our image, after our likeness…27 So the Gods went down to organize man in their own image, in the image of the Gods to form they him, male and female to form they them.”
With all that confusion, what’s Mormon to believe? Ask a Mormon what they think about this and be sure to mention your deep concern about their spiritual welfare.

Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 24; “Our Father in Heaven begat all the spirits that ever were, or ever will be, upon this earth; and they were born spirits in the eternal world. Then the Lord by his power and wisdom organized the mortal tabernacle of man. We were made first spiritual, and afterwards temporal.” (This is p. 37 in the online version)
If I was a Mormon now days, I would be very careful about quoting or discussing scripture from the Book of Abraham. In time, the entire Pearls of great Price will likely be proven to be false. If the Book of Abraham has been proven to be phony, why not the Book of Moses?
