Alma 7:10 “And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.”
Hebrews 7:14 “For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.”
A false prophecy in Alma 7:10 says Jesus would be born in Jerusalem.
While we all know this isn’t true, there’s yet another problem with this false prophecy. We’ve written numerous times about this issue – see our Problems with the BoM Series. This time around we have a question about lineage…
Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, and Bethlehem is in the territory of Judah. The problem?
Jerusalem is in the territory of the tribe of Benjamin, not Judah. This would make Jesus from the tribe of Benjamin!
This would once again make God a liar, The truth however, is that Joseph Smith is the liar. The Church is complicit in his deceitful ways by perpetuating the lie!
It’s telling that an organization who makes millions of dollars from genealogy and DNA sites would continue to promote such lies.
Be sure you share the truth with a Mormon you know!
Also, as an FYI: For more info on Mormon problems, see TheCrossUnveiled.com. This is a great site!!

Yes, isn’t ironic that the church is now profiting on DNA through Ancestry.com. even though DNA hasn’t supported any of their ridiculous claims. I actually did my DNA a few years back, I was very surprised. Both my parents died when I was young so I didn’t know much about my ancestry.
I just listened to a 5 part pod cast on Alma 7:10 from Bill McKeever and Eric Johnson. “At Jerusalem” is in the Book of Mormon 19 times.
