March 3 – Indoctrinated LDS Missionaries. 2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
_____
Indoctrinate means to ‘accept a set of beliefs uncritically’. This would entail the submission to LDS teachings without questioning. Ask the Mormon for their opinion on Mr. Kimball’s mandate, and if they accept it.

Ensign, ‘When the World Will Be Converted,’ Oct. 1974, p. 8 “ When I ask for more missionaries, I am not asking for more testimony-barren or unworthy missionaries. I am asking that we start earlier and train our missionaries better… … I am asking for missionaries who have been carefully indoctrinated and trained through the family and the organizations of the Church, and who come to the mission with a great desire. … The question is frequently asked: Should every young man fill a mission? And the answer has been given by the Lord. It is “Yes.” Every young man should fill a mission.” – Spencer W. Kimball [emp. mine]
Half the missionaries in the field don’t have their hearts in their work. I believe that the majority of these young men go on missions due to family and church pressure.
More and more missionaries are today failing to complete their 2 year tours of duty.
Now that everybody has access to the internet, an investigator can study up on the Mormon church and it’s many secrets between missionary visits. Investigators can now read more about Joe Smith in 10 minutes, than would have taken them 10 months of study prior to the internet. Two missionaries meet up with Mr Jones to discuss the BOM and Joe Smith’s first vision. Mr Jones and the missionaries agree to meet again next week.During the cou4se of this week. Mr Jones decides to do extensive research on the Mormon Church and how it differs from mainstream Christianity. The following week , the two missionaries return to Investigator Jones’s home for their second visit (lecture study/lesson). Investigator Jones suddenly begins to ask the missionaries questions about Joe Smith that the missionaries are not able to answer.. Today’s missionaries are getting into discussions with people that cause them (missionaries) to doubt the church and what the church has always told them to be true..I believe this is one of the reasons why a lot of these kids come home early. What happens is this: While going door to door asking people if they are familiar with the teachings of the Restored Gospel, Elder Johnson encounters a Christian man that is well versed in scripture and has a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Rather than to argue with the Elders, this Christian fellow calmly discusses his relationship with the Lord and the Bible. He describes his born again experience and relates it to actual scripture. The Elders sit mesmerized buy what this fellow is teaching them. An hour later, the two missionaries leave the Investigators home with a brand new perspective on Jesus Christ and his gospel. One of the Elders almost immediately ignores and forgets what this man has said to them. The other Elder, however, actually took some notes on what this person said..He ponders his situation and decides to do more study on Joe Smith, Brigham young, Heaven,Temples the nature of God, BOM. D&C, the born again experience, which is needed to open wide the gates of heaven.
I believe that there are some missionaries being converted while on their missions. Many of these newly “Born Again” Christian men (Ex Elders) then go to their mission president, explain what happened to them. Often times the MP will elect to send them home early so this Born Again experience does not infect the rest of his missionaries.
Hi Old Sarge, that’s exactly what happened to Micah Wilder of Adams Road. He heard the truth from a Baptist pastor on his mission. And was sent home early for having the “spirit of the devil”. And shortly after that the rest of his family left. Now he tours all over with several ex-mo’s with his praise and worship band. His mom Lynn Wilder has written a best seller titled “Unveiling Grace”. This is my hope that more Christians will do some googling before the next visit and share the TRUTH.
