April 12 – ONE Priesthood. Hebrews 5:4; Ex. 28:1; 40:13-16; “And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. And take unto thee Aaron they brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats: And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations. Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.”

In Mormonism you cannot obtain the higher priesthood of Melchezidek without first holding the Aaronic priesthood. Where in the New Testament does it say such a thing? Peter, James, and John, certainly weren’t Levites. There is only ONE priesthood when the law ended with Jesus being the final propitiation of our sins. Heb. 9:11-12. The following is their 12th reason why they think they’re the one and only true church.

Point 12. ‘The officers must be called of God. Heb. 5:4; Ex. 28:1, 40:13-16.’
I’m always amused to see young men, often teenagers, with a badge saying “elder” and talking about being Aaronic priests.
