June 25 — Reliance on His Mercy. Titus 3:4-5 “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”

There can’t be anything in this world more endearing than the assurance of knowing we’re saved through His mercy. Millions have known this, and millions more will come to know it as well.
The LDS reference today is a lie meant to leave members in a state of loneliness and despair. Be sure to share with a Mormon you know why His word brings you comfort, and examples of when He’s done this for you!

“The Bible of the Old World has come to us from the manuscripts of antiquity – manuscripts which passed through the hands of uninspired men who changed many parts to suit their own doctrinal ideas. Deletions were common, and, as it now stands, many plain and precious portions and many covenants of the Lord have been lost. As a consequence, those who rely upon it alone [the Bible] stumble and are confused” (Ensign, December 1985, p 55).
Yes, many false teachers have tried to change and discredit the Bible over the centuries, and Joseph Smith was one of them…however, there have been many, many more good teachers to warn Christians to reject anyone teaching a false gospel. ALMIGHTY God is fully and completely capable to make sure His Word stands forever. Matthew 5:18 says ” For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall no wise pass from the law, till all is fulfilled”.
One of the goals of a false teacher is to steer people away from God’s Word (Bible). After the Jonestown massacre the US government had to go in and clean up, and identify all the bodies, to get them back state side to their loved ones. While doing so, not one Bible was to be found amongst the tragedy.
