August 22 — All Tribes Will be in Heaven. Revelation 7:9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.”

In a recent Bible study on Jonah my husband Kirk, and I just finished, we learned how Jonah knew the word of God, but misapplied it every chance he got. His lack of compassion, and self-righteousness showed he was a broken man. Moreover, his ethnic identity was of greater import than those whom God had called him to serve – the Ninevites.
The leader of our Bible study said, ‘All tribes will be in heaven so you might want to get used to it here.’
His words were simple, yet eloquent, and reminded me of a quote by Joseph Smith I recently came across.
Please, pray for Mormons to see why it’s important to denounce those who teach this type of thing.

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 334 “The South holds the balance of power. By annexing Texas, I can do away with this evil. As soon as Texas was annexed, I would liberate the slaves in two or three States, indemnifying their owners, and send the negroes to Texas, and from Texas to Mexico, where all colors are alike.”
