“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Luke 17:2
The September issue of Liahona included the September issue of the kid’s magazine, Friend.
In that portion, the Church wanted kids to count the number of times the word ‘fowl’, appears in the first chapter of Genesis.
Their article should give everyone pause, and for a few reasons!
While looking over the content of Genesis 1, we found the answer they gave for the number of times the word ‘fowl’ appears was wrong. They claimed it appears five times, but it’s actually six times.
This made us wonder why they’d want kids to read text from the Bible when they don’t believe it’s been translated correctly. Furthermore, if you read just a few verses later in Genesis 2:3, the Bible clearly states God made the earth, and everything in it. This is obviously something they adamantly disagree with! Ironically, the JST version of the Bible says God did create the earth.
Their own writings also reveal how God told Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth before they were booted out of Eden, and this too is contrary to what the Church teaches. Oh, what a tangled web they weave …. Click on image for easier reading.
We put together a side-by-side look at how the Church has lied to all members, and that includes the most vulnerable – the kids. For more info, see their PDF at Liahona September 2020 PDF p. F17.
Please, pray for the kids who read this, and for Jesus to intervene!!

“And the Words which I command thee shall be in thine heart. And thou shalt Teach Them To Thy Children, and shalt talk of them when thy walk with them and when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest in thine way and when thou liest down and when thou riseth up.(Deuteronomy 6:6,7)
And thou shall lay up my Words in thy heart and in your soul. And ye shalt Teach Them Unto Thy Children , speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest along the way (Deuteronomy 11:18,19)
