General Conference, ‘Sisters in Zion’, October 2020 “You sisters … do not hold a second place in our Father’s plan for the eternal happiness and well-being of His children. You are an absolutely essential part of that plan. … Without you the plan could not function. Without you the entire program would be frustrated. … Each of you is a daughter of God, endowed with a divine birthright. …” — Henry Eyring
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
The verse in Isaiah is a great example of man’s relationship with God. However, it doesn’t have to be this way if we accept Him as our Redeemer and God.
God’s repetition of proclaiming He is the one who blots out sin is another great example on the nature of God.
Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”
Remember beloved, all of mankind has been separated from God because of sin – Romans 3:23. In light of that, how could anyone, be it male, or female, help God save humanity? Wouldn’t this mean he’s an insufficient god?
How could you rely on a god for your needs, if he needs your help? Could he possibly understand what you’ll need when it comes time to rely on him? What about the numerous times God proclaimed he sent a redeemer for us?
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [emp. added]
The word whosoever means anyone. If you’re a living, breathing, human being, this word applies to you —— and if you’re LDS, that includes you as well!
I know how important having children is to members of the Church because I felt the same way as a Mormon. One thing I couldn’t imagine then, or even now, is giving up one of my kids to die for others. Yet, this is what God the Father did because of His love. Whosoever believes…
We pray that if you’re LDS you’ll give pause to what God has already proclaimed. If you’re a Christian, please, share these truths with a Mormon!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
