Ensign, ‘The Godhead and the Plan of Salvation’, May 2017 “[It is] the province of the Father to preside as the Chief or President, Jesus as the Mediator, and the Holy Ghost as the Testator or Witness.”2 — Dallin H. Oaks
Colossians 2:9 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Today we’re looking at the statement above made by LDS apostle, Dallin Oaks. Not only was his insight wrong, but so were the footnotes imbedded in the article.
1.There’s nothing in the Bible stating God is the ‘president’ of the Godhead.
2.Their footnote #2 provided a link to Teachings of Joseph Smith. Teachings: Joseph Smith, 42.
Here’s what the link says –
“I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.”
Everyone familiar with Mormonism knows Joseph Smith lied. You can read about this in our article, Evolving Revelations of Joseph Smith Mormon Dilemma 466.
Furthermore, those involved in perpetuating Joseph Smith’s lies are complicit in leading people to worshiping false gods. This includes Mr. Oaks who said these things at the 2017 General Conference.
Please, continue to pray for those who are still caught in the venomous lies of this organization. We know for a fact Jesus hears our prayers because we’ve seen countless people who’ve found the truth – including me!
With Love in Christ –
Michelle
