Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 1 “The Gospel of the Son of God that has been revealed is a plan or system of laws and ordinances, by strict obedience to which the people who inhabit this earth are assured that they may return again into the presence of the Father and the Son. 13:233.” — Discourse by President Brigham Young, delivered in the Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, Feb. 20, 1870.Reported by David W. Evans. [emp. added]
Psalm 45:2 “Thou art fairer than the children of men: Grace is poured into thy lips: Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.”
Luke 4:22 “And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?”
Today’s LDS reference shows how they’ve chosen to ignore what the Lord promised, and by default, rejected the One who fulfilled it.
I mentioned the other day in our comment section how I believe Joseph Smith and friends systematically went through an A-Z list of Bible topics and turned each on its proverbial head. As always, however, the Lord’s word endures forever – Is. 40:8!
Using fulfilled prophecies is a great segue to witness to your Mormon friends/loved ones. Don’t forget to tell them what new thing you learned about the Lord today!
With Love in Christ —
Michelle
