Conference Report, ‘Apostasy and Restoration’, April 1995, p. 115 “The purpose of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to help all of the children of God understand their potential and achieve their highest destiny. The church exists to provide the sons and daughters of God with the means of entrances into and exaltation in the celestial kingdom.
This is a family-centered church in doctrine and practices. Our understanding of the nature and purpose of God the Eternal father explains our destiny and our relationship in his eternal family.
Our theology begins with heavenly parents. Our highest aspiration is to be like them.
Under the merciful plan of the father, all of this is possible through the atonement of the Only Begotten of the Father, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As earthly parents we participate in the gospel plan by providing mortal bodies for the spirit children of God. The fulness of eternal salvation is a family matter.” — Dallin H. Oaks
Isaiah 43:10-11 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
Mr. Oaks is a smart guy. He’s held many prestigious positions in the world of US law determining right from wrong and now serves as one of the top echelons of the LDS Church.
As the word of God says this isn’t about flesh and blood but the powers and principalities of the air – Eph. 6:12. We see this in real life with Mr. Oaks and all members of the Church.
There’s no doubt the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who won’t/don’t believe – 2 Cor. 4:3-5.
Please, remember to pray for all those who’ve been impacted by the lies of this man. It’s quite obvious their main priority in life is attempting to become something that doesn’t exist. A god in a polytheistic pyramid of false gods.
With Love in Christ —
Michelle
[…] Purpose of LDS Church: Become Gods— Dallin H. Oaks […]
“…you will be like God…” said Satan.
It’s scary isn’t it?
EXACTLY!!! and by exalting themselves to “gods” of their own planets, aren’t they openly separating themselves from God’s presence by doing so?
They apparently don’t see this as a problem. Sigh…
