January 30 — Sins Forgiven with a W-2. James 5:2-4 “Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.”

The LDS Church was built upon the precept that all other churches were of the devil. Smith surmised Christian churches were only offering forgiveness of sins if members would pony up monetarily.
Today we’re wondering why their church is now doing the very thing Smith condemned others of doing. Mormons can’t enter the temple and receive true salvation if they can’t prove their worthiness with a temple recommend. The recommend is only obtained when they show proof, they’ve paid the Church at least 10% of their income.
Ask the Mormon you know if they see any problem with having to prove their worthiness with a W-2 form.

I believe that lots of Mormons would say something like, ‘If that’s what the prophet proclaims, count me in. The prophet (profit) would never lead us astray.’ The pastor of the church I attend has no idea how large or small my offerings are. God knows how much and what my heart says about the offering. The Mormon church is so corrupt. Amen.
Amen! And that’s the way it should always be!!
reply to Sandra walker and lifeafter ministry.
yes the Church of Jesus Christ askes for 10 % and a fast offering even as Abraham of the old testament gave tithings to Melchizedek. Malachi 3:8 will a man rob God? yet ye have robbed me. but you say wherein have we robbed thee? in tithes and offerings unquote.. Does God need that money no but he has said feed my sheep not only in word but with the things one need such as food clothing this money the Church’ of Jesus Christ receives go to the matinee of canneries that can produce up to 30 thousand cans 0f food per day. and the farms to raise the food and beef that go into the cans to be given free to those in need.
yes that must be an evil work that is done and if so may The merciful God who allows us to give the goods freely with no compensation, not only to our members but to you how may need it at some time if in your life i a disaster of any type hit you which we pray does not happen to anybody but it does. the church has partnered with the red cross the catholic church and other organizations of the world which they have to give with out receiving any compensation to help us reach the world with these goods or else we will not be obliged to continue as the Lord has said Feeley as ye have receive freely give.
should this evil continue the paying and offerings the Lord God commanded Malachi 3:8 The God who is the giver of all good gifts have it stopped? so others can go with out? it is. for those who suffer from natures storms floods and earth quakes, and for the ones who have injured or have lost loved ones in the disasters.
for the leaders of each local branch and ward and stake organizations they receive no monetary reward the same is for all who search for the lost, injured or dead. and those who do the clean up from those disasters. unless it is government sponsored and i am not totally in the know of how all there organizations works.
this reply is meant for Sandra Walker and after Life’s ministries.
Is it a worse sin for those of the L.D.S. church who receive no compensation than for the ministers of a different faith who receive. wages and perks for there being a preacher or a minister. where is the hypocrisy. of one who serves with out pay and the one that does. Shouldn’t all ministers come under the same scrutiny as those of the church Of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. . My the Lord Jesus Christ bless each and every one of us to help bring all his children to him,. through love and by the good we can do to help others become as the savior would want us to be., one of his mottos was love one another as i have love you.. in the name of Jesus Christ this will make the world. better. .
to see how this free welfare system works., go to lds church welfare overview.it is a7.06 minutes video. my testimony to all from Jerry Bert Stevens let us oft spike kind words to each other as the savior has asked Amen.
Thank you for your reply. I was born and raised Mormon. I know how it works. I know they insulted protestant churches in the temple film, suggesting that because the clergy is paid, they work for the devil. I know they took that out of the film which surprises me because the temple words supposedly came from God and should not be altered. I know that the upper ‘management’ (the general authorities) of the church are taken care of financially and the amount of money that goes to those men is not disclosed. As a born again Christian my donations and offerings are not something my pastor is interested in knowing. He knows that the amount is between God Almightly and myself. Offerings and donation amounts are printed on the back of our church programs so we can see where the money goes. My father was a Bishop. I have been through the temple. I know that the veil of the temple during Jesus’ time was rent from top to bottom at His death. No more veil. I know that the temple ceremony was roughly based on the Masonic rituals. Joseph became a Mason in March of 1842 and the temple ‘ordinances’ began in May of the same year with some of the same handshakes and costumes. I say all this with respect because it took me many years to come to saving knowledge of my Lord and Savior as taught by His Word in the Bible. God bless you.
Hi Jerry, Most Pastors have attended Bible Universities, and furthered their education by 5 to 10 years. Some have received their doctorates. They are trained professionals. Most people who further their education don’t do it so they can’t make a decent living. A doctor doesn’t work for free while working in a factory. This is their calling. If you ask a Pastor he will probably tell you that he wanted to be a pastor from a young age. When I say pastors I’m not talking about the crazy ‘prosperity gospel’ preachers you see on TV. Just making that clear.
All your Biblical references are old testament. Jesus fulfilled the law. You mentioned God says ‘give freely’ how can one give freely if they are mandated to give 10%, or you can’t go to the temple and do all you have to do to reach celestial glory? That’s not giving freely.
You mentioned working along side with the Catholic church aka the ‘whore of the earth’. Let me tell you…as far as charity goes the Catholic church blows LDS church out of the water. They have more hospitals and schools world wide and have done so much more one year, than the LDS church has done in probably 10 years, maybe more. And you can check that all out.
Like Sandra said, we know exactly where our tithing is going. Full disclosure. Christian charities are all over the globe and all work side by side, ready and willing to help. You just don’t hear us boast about it.
Your church is sitting on a stockpile of upwards of more than 200 billion dollars. Are they doing their 10%? I don’t think they’ve even come close. Get out your calculator out figure out what 10% would be and check into just how much has really given in charitable donations. Your church is not transparent with their money. And for a very good reason…they don’t want the members to know what really going on. An honest non-profit will offer full disclosure.
Thanks for your comment
Melissa
Thanks for the added info Melissa!
It’s disheartening to think that most LDS members haven’t a clue as to what’s going on.
Case in point is my own mother. She and I have had many talks on this topic.
I pray that Christians will share the truth with a Mormon today and pray that Jesus will deliver them from the lies!
