March 26 – LDS: Temple Works are Protection. Psalm 18:2-3 “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

If it weren’t for sweet Jesus, the LDS reference today would make me want to curl up in a fetal position and die. Share the mighty promises of God with your Mormon friend, making sure you use personal examples of how the words of King David give you hope for tomorrow! Remind them you don’t have a ‘to-do-list’ needing signatures to show your worthiness. God has already done these things for you!

“The Holy Temple” “No work is more of a protection to this Church than temple work and the family history research that supports it. No work is more spiritually refining. No work we do gives us more power. No work requires a higher standard of righteousness. Our labors in the temple cover us with a shield and a protection, both individually and as a people.” — Boyd K. Packer
