May 27 —What Did You Learn About The Lord Today? 1 Samuel 3:10 “And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”

In the past few days (May 24-26), we’ve seen how the Church has told members they can know safety by obediently following their directives. The problem is the contradictory messages of whom they should be following. One instruction said safety is found in following their prophet, then it was found by Jesus. Today is another example of this.
Oswald Chambers said, ‘the goal of a Christian’s life is to hear the Lord’. A sign we’re not always following Him is when we’re distracted by extraneous events around us.
Each day we should ask ourselves; ‘What did Jesus teach me today?’. We’ll be unable to answer that question if we’re listening to what others tell us we should be doing.

Meek and Lowly of Heart “I testify that Jesus Christ is our resurrected and living Redeemer, and I promise that He will guide, protect and strengthen us as we walk in the meekness of His spirit.” — David A. Bednar, April 2018
[…] What Did You Learn About The Lord Today? […]
Elder Bednar is so smug and has the warmth of an icicle.
In a fireside talk a few years ago, during the Q&A part. He basically something to the effect… now I’ll answer the question you should have asked. If I can find the exact quote and source I’ll post it.
