June 29 — The Purpose of False Gospels. Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
_____
Contrary to Mr. Taylor’s advice in the LDS reference below, opening the BoM should alert people the Mormon god did desert them. The only purpose the BoM serves is to plant doubts into the minds of LDS members.
There’s only one statement that’s true. It’s either the one that came from Jesus, or the one from Mr. Taylor. Both can’t be true!

General Conference, ‘Am I a Child of God’, April 2018 “When you feel hurt, lost, scared, upset, sad, hungry or hopelessly abandoned in life’s extremities, open the Book of Mormon and you will come to know God will never desert us.” — Brian K. Taylor
[…] The Purpose of False Gospels […]
Anyone immersed in the bible knows there is nothing like it. Why not turn to the bible when life’s extremities come? I lived many years opening the Book of Mormon in life’s extremities. It was not until I opened the bible that I came to know God.
Jesus summarized his teachings to ‘certain Greeks’ who said, ’Sir we would see Jesus.’
The summary is found in this one verse that follows: ‘Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.’ John 12:24
Like the corn of wheat a person must die to ‘self’ in order to live. The burial of ‘self’ looks and feels like death, just like burying a seed in the ground looks like death. But in reality, this burial is what allows the seed to bring forth fruit and live.
A hearty A-MEN to that!!!
