“And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:12-14
“I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.” John 6:48-50
Many will go through life looking for a sign they’ve ‘made it’. There are as many signs of utopia as there are people in this world.
One man I know told me that the type of postbox at the end of his drive was a sign he had arrived at his goal.
Still others believe they’re the light or a sign, God has arrived. Case in point is the LDS Church who’s taken it upon themselves to lie about the identity of the true sign that the Light of the world has arrived.
Every year the Church produces a PDF advent circular for their youth. Each day is filled with an activity for the kids to fulfill. While they provide lots of ideas on how to serve God during the holiday season, none of the activities include spending time worshiping Jesus by learning more about Him.
Everything they listed in the daily plan keeps their attention focused on being busy with themselves, or those around them.
LIGHT OF THE WORLD “December 25th … Open your Bible to John 8:12, take a picture, and post it to social media with a message about how Jesus brings light into your life. … When Jesus Christ was born, angels proclaimed, “Peace on earth, good will to men.” This December, the promise remains the same. As we serve others the way Jesus served, we can end 2020 on a hopeful note. Use this calendar for inspiration as you use every day as a new opportunity to #LightTheWorld.”
John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Pray for everyone involved who read the Church’s lies.
The real way to worship the Lord is to learn more about Him, and bow to thank Him for what He’s provided. The Christmas season isn’t about us – as the saying goes…
Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
Share the verses we’ve listed above with a Mormon you know! Using demonstrative evidence of how scripture fits together is a great Christmas gift!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
