January 1 – Jesus Sexually Begotten Like Everyone Else. Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
Matthew 1:18-20 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

Seed of a woman (virgin birth) ….. The one verse I’d add to this fulfilled prophecy is Ephesians 2:15; “Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace”.
I’ve found this set of scriptures to be more than sufficient to ease my troubled thoughts whenever I’ve encumbered myself with unnecessary things.
How incredibly awesome is our God who does these things! The magnitude of His actions can’t be measured by anyone…ever. His power, His love, His omniscience have proven no one is like Him.
The image above is of Nazareth, where Joseph and Mary were living when they were told by an angel about Jesus’ upcoming birth.
Sadly, my people don’t believe this because they’ve busied themselves with trying to figure out how they can be His equal.
In Mormonism, God is referred to in the same manner they talk about their own achievements. There’s no awe or reverence for Him because they lack appreciation of Who He is.
On this first day of the year, share the incredible truth with the next Mormon you see! Just one fact about God can change their life forever!

Promised Messiah, p 468; “There is no need to spiritualize away the plain meaning of the scriptures. There is nothing figurative or hidden or beyond comprehension in our Lord’s coming into mortality. He is the Son of God in the same sense and way that we are the sons of mortal fathers. It is just that simple.” – Bruce McConkie
