May 3 — Pondering LDS Lies Instead of Truth. Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

A talk given by Ulisses Soares at a recent General Conference focused on the greatness of the Book of Mormon, and how you can know of its truth by praying about it. A reference he used in his talk is listed below.
As Christians we can know with full assurance this man’s message was wrong on numerous levels.
1.Jesus promised us His word will never go away, hence, we don’t need ‘another gospel’.
2.The Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible throughout its text.
3.The BoM is filled with numerous contradictions, anachronisms, and lies.
Furthermore, the Bible tells us man’s heart is deceitful (Jer. 17:9), so how can we trust the BoM based on what Mr. Soares said? His litmus test for truth is nothing but a ruse drawing people away from Jesus, and into the snares of evil teachings.

Book of Mormon Intro “We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5.)”

PTL for His mercy!
Ed Decker used to tell me pretty much the same thing you just did. He thought the ‘burning in the bosom’ could be a sign of heartburn.
