April 17 – Why You Shouldn’t Pray for Burning in the Bosom. 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

The Mormon ‘scripture’ today is straight from the scary files. Untold numbers of people have fallen for Satan’s ploy with this verse in Moroni.
God never tells Christians to pray about the truthfulness of any religious book, not even the Bible.
We should ask God for guidance, yes, but God’s directives give us a protocol to follow.
Test the spirits — 1 John 4:1.
Test yourself to ensure He lives inside of you — 2 Cor. 13:5.
Toss aside other gospels — Gal. 1:8-9.
Put to the test all those calling themselves apostles — Rev. 2:2. …
Moroni 10:4 should be used as a classic example of what to avoid!

Moroni 10:4 “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.”
