August 1 — Living Under the Law and Salvation Through Christ. Alma 25:16 “Now they did not suppose that salvation came by the law of Moses; but the law of Moses did serve to strengthen their faith in Christ; and thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation, relying upon the spirit of prophecy, which sake of those things to come.” – BC 90 [emp. added]

John 5:39-40 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”

Today we have a few questions about the verse in Alma listed above —
1. How do you strengthen your faith in Christ by living the Law of Moses?
2. How do you have faith in Christ when it’s 90 BC?
3. Because members of the Church use the BoM how do they reconcile these two opposing statements?
Share with the Mormon you know how Christ came to fulfill the Law making it unnecessary to keep working for salvation.
Matthew 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
Christians live life in freedom knowing that when Jesus hung on that cross He paid our debt. There is nothing more important than knowing you don’t have to live under the Law. Before the day is over, please tell a Mormon what His death means to you personally!
