‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.’ Galatians 3:28
September 3 — Privileged White Mormons. Mormonism, Mama & Me, 1986, pp. 24‑25 “As a white Mormon, I proudly accepted the teaching that my fair skin and Mormon parentage signified that I had been one of God’s most intelligent and obedient born‑in‑heaven spirit children…. As a reward for my superior attributes and attitudes, I had been singled out, trained, and qualified to be born a white Latter‑day Saint, deserving of emulation, adulation, and eventual deification. All dark‑skinned people, even darker‑complexioned Caucasians… had been inferior spirits in heaven.” – Thelma “Granny” Geer

1 Samuel 2:3 “Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.”

Why would God who is all knowing want an organization to teach that white people born in Mormonism are superior to everyone else?
Why would He want anyone to feel superior to others when we and especially God Himself would know this is pride?
Thelma “Granny” Geer grew up in a typical LDS home much like the one I did. She was raised to be proud of being Mormon and proud that she was white because it was a sign she had been a superior spirit in the pre-existence.
Born in 1916, she died in AZ in 1999 and was the great-granddaughter of John D. Lee. Her mother was born into a polygamous family.
She came to know the Lord as an adult and shortly thereafter the Lord called her into ministry. She gave seminars and spoke across the country about the doctrines of Mormonism compared to Christianity and dressed in pioneer attire during her presentations.
The info she shared on the pecking order of who was more righteous within Mormonism gives us valuable insight on how Mormons view themselves and outsiders as well. While her style seemed simplistic to many her message carried truth as it touched thousands of people by leading them out of the prison of Mormonism and into the arms of the Lord!
God is well aware of what color you are because He created you and doesn’t need a visual reminder of how great you might be because of the color He made you.
He’s not all that concerned about the different shades of people as He is about your heart. This type of behavior within Utah Mormonism hasn’t changed.
Just imagine the amount of time lost to those caught in this when they could’ve been reading their Bibles!
Please pray for those who are trying to escape but don’t know how or they’re too afraid to do so. We see this all the time at the ministry. They know it’s wrong and don’t know how to leave because there’s so much at stake with jobs, homes, families.
With Love in Christ —

Oh my goodness. God loves everyone💜💜. No matter what color they are. He doesn’t discriminate. People are so naive, they believe anything.🙏🙏🙏🙏So sad. Guess they don’t know any better. They must not know the song Jesus loves the little children. And they don’t know Jesus of the Bible.🙏🙏
Naive is spot on! For what it’s worth, I had never heard of the song Jesus loves the little children until after I left the Church, and my kids came home one day after Sunday school and sang it to me. It’s unreal how they lie about everything, 🙁
I think if someone already has an egotistical/ narcissist attitude, the LDS church plays right into those traits. The pride and self righteousness can really take over the heart.
I’m beyond heartbroken and deeply hurt by the recent news regarding Adam’s Road band. Before I continue Not All band mates took part in these atrocious/ disturbing behaviors that took place over the last 18; YEARS.
I like many others were very moved hearing Micah Wilder’s viral testimony. Micah was sent home from his mission in Florida, bc he no longer believed the teachings of the LDS church. Shorty after returning home he went back to Florida.
On his mission Micah had met Max (self proclaimed prophet), who renovated a hotel (The Edgewater in Wintergarden). He also met up with his mission companion Joseph. and both started working at the hotel. And eventually started The Adam’s Road band with several others including Micha’s brother Matt.
Since Micah’s testimony became more popular, Micah was getting asked to share his story. So Adam’s Road started touring all over to share their stories and music.
Touring and running the hotel was working well for them. Micah got married and Joseph married Micah’s sister Katie.
Micah and Joseph were becoming more and more under the influence Max. He convinced them to engage in sexual behaviors with him. Which ultimately led to polygamy and polyandry. Micah, his wife and Joseph were engaging in relationships with each other. That continued for about 18 years. They soon brought in Lila LaBaron they “rescued” from the polygamist sect in Mexico. She started touring and working at the hotel. And became involved in there relationships.
I want to say Micah’s brother and sister were NOT involved, they had no idea. Micah s parents Mike and Lyn had no idea either.
And during these years Micah’s mom wrote a best seller “Unveiling Grace” about her experience in the LDS church. She also went all over ( herself and often with her husband); doing speaking engagements. Along with hosting a podcast, that has recently been taken down.
In May of this year Joseph came clean and confessed what had been going on behind the scenes for the last 18 years. Which forced Micah to come clean as well. Micah wrote a lengthy confessional on there website. It was taken down edited and put back up. If you search Micah Wilder you’ll find his letter if you want to read more in detail about all that went on behind the scenes…and it’s absolutely horrible.
Now I’m not implying all members or ex members think this way. It takes a certain personality type. So all that to say, this is what LDS church and other’s CAN breed. Teaching people this is the only true church along with becoming gods, self-righteousness, secret ceremonies and marriages. Along with all the other ego inflating/ megalomaniac teachings. Pride can be very powerful and destructive thing.
Even though Micah and others left the church, the ugly stain of the church remains embedded deep in their hearts. Sadly Lila LaBaron has returned back to be with Micah (wife and 3 kids).
I’m personally devastated by this. About 5 years ago I went to see Adam’s Road at a local church. I met them afterwards and got some of them to sign my CDs, I even bought a T-shirt from Lila.
My heart and prayers go out to the Wilder family and other’s affected by this tragedy.
Proverbs 16 : 5
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

It’s sad they did this.
Superiority, pride, lust, money and greed, are what counter Christian religions are built on. 😔

That is an excellent book. I had a copy for many years but a few years ago passed to another person looking for information exposing the LDS.
I’ve always liked this book as well. Like I said, it’s very simplistic but the message comes across quite well. I wanted to meet her, but she passed away while I was on a speaking tour w/ Ed in UT. I highly recommend it to everyone!
