In past articles we’ve seen how Joe Smith claimed that without the Book of Mormon there’d be no Mormonism. – No Book of Mormon Means no Mormonism, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 71.
This time we see that Mormonism stands or falls on the story of Joseph Smith.
Mormonism sure has a lot of “ifs” associated with it. If there was no Book of Mormon….if Smith’s story isn’t reliable there’d be no Mormonism…
It seems there are always conditions and nowhere in having a relationship with Jesus. Christianity isn’t a religion but a relationship you have with the Only Begotten Son of God, Christ Jesus. There’s nothing else in this world that compares to Christianity.
With Mormonism you have to believe Joseph, you have to believe the Book of Mormon, you have to believe modern prophets, you have to work for your salvation, you must attend temple…it just never ends!
In Christianity there’s only one condition –
Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Lovingly share this info with a Mormon and let them know you’re praying for them!

I ‘ll always be in awe that He opened my heart to His truth!
I don’t think their could be any true prophets in the LDS church since it was started by deception and they don’t follow the God of the Bible. Prayers for them all. It’s sad that probably most of the people that attend don’t know about all smiths different visions and changes to the bom. And all the changes in the church like Adam God theory, blood atonement, black curse theory and polygamy.
Most cults are about following man, not God.

1 Corinthians 15 :1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye STAND;
BY which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
So that is the gospel according to the scriptures. And this is where to stand, unless one believes in vain,(meaning it’s all about you). And as Michelle pointed out above, Gal 1: 6-9, and 1 Corinthians 15 :1-4 go hand in hand. They are warnings from Paul, not to follow another gospel. The Book of Mormon is another/false gospel.
We’re always in prayer they would open their hearts for hearing the truth!
