March 21 – Emotional Sabotage. Jer. 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Mormons will always ask you to pray the following verses in Moroni and you will receive a “burning in the bosom” from knowing the Church is true.
Ask how you can trust Moroni based upon what Jeremiah said above.
Their method of converting people is what we call ‘love-bombing’.
They visit people in rapid succession and then want you to make a decision without having all the facts.

Moroni 10:3-5; “Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”

The Lord also told us to test all things just as the Bereans did. 1 Thessalonians 5:21, Acts 17:10-12.
Remind the Mormon you know that comparing what it says in the Bible with any new claim about God isn’t a bad thing! Anyone can pray about something when you have all the facts!

[…] Emotional Sabotage […]
It’s a bit confusing, because it actually says “if these things are not true”, but implying they are true… feelings can be deceptive, and can get us in trouble, like the above verse Jer 17:9 says.
Almost 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. If chose to ignore the doctors and not believe the results of the tests, and turn down any treatment, I probably wouldn’t be here. It would be too late for treatment.
Don’t wait till it’s too late. There is only salvation through Jesus alone. Not the LDS version of Jesus, not the LDS organization, not the prophet, not the book of Mormon, not the temple, and not your works. You don’t need to pray if something is true…it’s either true or it’s not. Praying won’t change truth.

Hey Melissa –
Good example of why you should go straight to the truth. As you already know per our many conversations the truth is all that matters.
We are always praying for you dear one!
