April 2 — Bishops Judge Your Worthiness. Young Women Manual 2, Appreciating the Bishop, p. 41 “The bishop presides over every person in the ward and directs their local church activities. … All of your adolescent life you will be under the direction of the bishop. He will appoint teachers and supervisors to do his work, but he will be very much interested in your progress. Your life here will be constantly weighed by him, for he is the judge of your worthiness … to receive higher ordinances, and to be worthy to go to the Temple.”

Ephesians 1:6-7 “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

The comforting words from the apostle Paul should be shared with the Mormon people before they go in for their temple worthiness interviews.
It’d be a great idea to share this passage with the bishops as well!
No one judges us but Jesus Christ and even pay homage to Him as it says in Jude 24-25 –
“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
We don’t shower a bishop with honor!
Using your favorite verse please show a Mormon why allowing a fallen man to judge you isn’t biblical.
With Love in Christ –

Oh my goodness. My neice, her husband and 7 year old daughter are in the LDS church. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So sad how the LDS church wants to dictate your life and think they are the judge.

Ironic isn’t it?
There is NO ONE “worthy”, and that’s why we need a Savior. Your salvation is not in a bishop or temple. If you could be perfect, why aren’t you? I guarantee everyone has lied to their bishop, during their temple recommend interview. You know you have.
Your bishop didn’t die for your sins. So put your trust in Jesus ALONE for your salvation.
[…] Bishops Judge Your Worthiness 2025 […]
Hmm. How come I can’t find that in the Bible, the Book of Mormon or D&C? And who judges the worthiness of the Bishops to do so?!?
Now that’s a good question!
