April 6 — Christian and Mormon Children’s Songs Compared. Matthew 18:6 “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Today’s post stems from the countless hours spent with my grandson and granddaughter. Twice a week Kirk and I have been blessed with the ‘task’ of watching the grandkids while their parents work.
If we’re not reading Dr. Seuss, coloring or making something with Play-Doh we’re singing Children’s Bible songs.
Over the past 3+ years we have a long list of great Christian Bible songs the kids know by heart which brings me to the topic at hand.
Some of these songs breaks my heart anew for the little Mormon kids. In the LDS hymnal there are a few Christian songs the Church has used that aren’t part of the LDS m.o. which is a sign of their conniving ways.
I’m beyond grateful for what the Lord has done but I also know my heartache can’t compare to what the Lord must be going through.
These kids won’t ever know songs by Anna Warner ‘Jesus Loves the Little Children’, or ‘Father Abraham’ by Pierre Kartner, and ‘Nothing but the Blood of Jesus’ by Robert Lowry or the beloved song ‘The B-I-B-L-E’ by Dale Evans.
Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam by E.O. Excell shows up in both references and is the exception to that short list.
As the April 2025 General Conference kicks off today the Church will encourage parents to give their children activity books to keep them occupied. In past years they’ve handed out sheets of connect the dots, mazes, and of course coloring books of the speaker.
Please pray for all Mormons to stop and think about what they’re doing to themselves not to mention what they’re doing to their kids.
For our list of 100 songs see The Christian Children’s Songbook, and Audra Jennings top 50 list of Christian Bible songs.
For the Mormon song book see Children’s Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many of their songs include thanking their heavenly father for Joseph Smith and have references to a pre-existence. Oh, be still my heart!
As the Church publishes their conference reports we’ll be posting on them asap.
With Love in Christ –

That’s so sad, they won’t hear songs about Jesus.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏for them.
Keep praying someone they meet will tell the truth!
