When we get to the point that we don’t even believe a simple statement of Jesus we must ask ourselves if anything we’re doing is making sense.
There is nothing in the Book of Mormon that’s theologically correct let alone scientific or historical.

I was a 6th generation Mormon from Utah and in the Church for 30 years. I so wanted for the Church to be true and finally had to accept that it wasn’t. I went through four years of LDS Seminary, participated in the obligatory Road-Shows, LDS church run community projects and baptized for the dead in the Ogden, UT temple countless times.
When I say I was invested I do so because I was there.
The BoM has no scientific truths to it. Joseph Smith plagiarized the Bible even though he didn’t believe in it and went so far as to denounce it whenever he could.
