“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:6
December 26 — Friend, Adam and Eve, January 2026. Today we’re looking at an article in the church magazine ‘Friend’. Their target audience is for kids ages 3-11.
For now we’re looking at the lies they told but you can read the entire article below or check it out with the link listed above. Here we go!
Lie #1 — the Church said “…God and Jesus Christ visited them…”
God visited Adam and Eve but not Jesus! Mormons teach that God and Jesus are two separate people and that’s a lie.
D&C 130:22 “The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also…”
Lie #2 — The Church said “Adam and Eve said that they ate the fruit. Now they had to leave the Garden of Eden…Now they knew right from wrong and could have children.”
The Bible never said they had to sin in order to have kids! Genesis 3:1-24 gives the entire story.
Lie #3 — The Church said “Adam and Eve promised to obey God’s commandments…” The Bible never said they promised to obey God’s commandments. What commandments were there to obey?
Lie #4 — The Church said “They learned more about God’s Son, Jesus Christ.” Jesus hadn’t been born yet. That didn’t happen for another 4,000 years!
Lie #5 — The Church said “They were happy because He would help their family return to God.” The Bible never said this! Genesis 5:5 tells us that Adam lived 930 years and then he died. Nowhere in these passages does it mention anything about heaven. Moreover, they couldn’t return to God because they had never been with God! 1 Cor. 15:44-47.
First of all, shame on these people. May God have mercy on them and allow them to repent before it’s too late. And also please pray for the Lord to intervene in the lives of these little ones!
With Love in Christ —

Adam and Eve were the first of Heavenly Father’s children to live on earth. They lived in the Garden of Eden.
God let them eat the fruit of every tree but one. If they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they would have to leave the garden and would eventually die. But Satan lied to them. He said if they ate the fruit, they would know good from evil but would not die.
Eve chose to eat the fruit.
Then she gave Adam some of the fruit. He also chose to eat it.
God and Jesus Christ visited them, but Adam and Eve were afraid and hid. God asked if they had eaten fruit from the tree.
Adam and Eve said that they ate the fruit. Now they had to leave the Garden of Eden. But God had a plan for them. Now they knew right from wrong and could have children.
Adam and Eve promised to obey God’s commandments. They learned more about God’s Son, Jesus Christ. They were happy because He would help their family return to God.
