January 13 — Alma 31:15 “Holy, holy God; we believe that thou art God, and we believe that thou art holy, and that thou wast a spirit, and that thou art a spirit, and that thou wilt be a spirit forever.”
_____
John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
_____
My heart is saddened when I read verses from the Book of Mormon like the one here today. What Mormon believes God is a spirit?
If the Mormon god is a spirit, then who is the exalted man who begat all the spirit babies in the pre-existence?
Oh my, what a tangled web we weave…
If you’re LDS, what are your thoughts about the verse in Alma and what Joseph Smith taught?
In Doctrine and Covenants 130:22 he said that God is an exalted man with a body —
“The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.”
Why did he contradict the BoM which he claimed was the most correct book on the face of the earth? See The Introduction to the Book of Mormon.
Please know that we don’t say these things out of animosity!
We do this because of our deep concern for your spiritual well-being. Also, please know that we’re praying for you!

[…] Why Did Joseph Smith Contradict the BoM? […]
Like every other world religion, the founders cannot keep track of their lies…
Boy is that ever the truth!
It’s another reason that telling the truth is ALWAYS the best thing to do.
1. You don’t have to remember what the lies you may have told,
2. You’ll always have a clean conscience. 🙂
3. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy!
Amen!!!!
