As of late, the LDS Church is building temples at a record pace. According to their site they now have 155 operating temples, and 25 others in various stages of construction. Another page gives the reason why they build so many temples. Here in part, is what they said –
‘From the days of the Old Testament, the Lord has commanded His people to build temples-sacred structures where He could teach, guide, and bless them.’ See ‘Why We Build Temples’.
Anyone or anything that disagrees with the LDS Church is considered anti-Mormon. Yet, the Church considers themselves to be a Christian church.
