Mormon Decisions 10Judges 17:6; “In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”

The bible verse above is fitting for both sets of Danites we’re looking at today. Both had problems with following God and did what they saw fitting in their own eyes.

Controversy has always been a staple in the subject of Mormon Danites and it begins with the simple fact of when they were first organized. Some believe the ‘Armies of Israel’ were the original Danites, and on the other end of the spectrum is the argument Danites were only a part of Mormon folklore.

Tribe of Dan and the Mormon Danites

Mormon Decisions 10Genesis 30:6; “And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.”

Judges 13:24; “And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.”

Judges 18:1; “In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.”
