Offended
“And Nothing Shall Offend Them,” Ensign, Nov. 2006, 90; “Endowed with agency, you and I are agents, and we primarily are to act and not just be acted upon. To believe that someone or something can make us feel offended, angry, hurt, or bitter diminishes our moral agency and transforms us into objects to be acted upon. As agents, however, you and I have the power to act and to choose how we will respond to an offensive or hurtful situation.” – David Bednar
James 1:20; “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”
Have you ever met a Mormon missionary with a happy attitude after you’ve told him his prophet was false? I haven’t. They tend to get angry and unwilling to discuss facts, rather their conversation is geared towards all they know and that is feelings.
Sadly the Church doesn’t equip their followers with the tools to accept others have differing opinions, so when they’re met with opposition they revert back to their feelings which are where they’re told they receive guidance from God.
