High Priest
http://www.lds.org/study/topics/high-priest?lang=eng “An office of the Melchizedek Priesthood. A high priest has the right to officiate in the Church. Stake presidents, mission presidents, high councilors, bishops and their counselors, and other leaders of the Church are ordained as high priests.”
Jeremiah 33:18; “Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”
Hebrews 7:11-12, 24-25; “If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law 24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
Jeremiah was prophesying of the day when sacrifices were no longer needed and the saved children of God would know there’s nothing they can do to earn their salvation. There would be no more sacrifices and the office of Melchizedek would be held by only One, that being Christ Jesus.
Also take special note of Hebrews chapter seven. I’ve often wondered if a Mormon priesthood holder has ever read this section of scripture and what they’d think.

(I’ve often wondered if a Mormon priesthood holder has ever read this section of scripture and what they’d think.)
I, for one, think that if ya’ll used the same way ya’ll study the Book of Mormon, you would have to accept that the Bible is false. Let us look at what your logic does to the Bible.
“… following the logic of the critics, we would have to conclude that Moses-to whom the revelation in Deuteronomy 18:20-22 is ascribed-was a false prophet. In Numbers 25:13, he said, in the name of the Lord, that Phinehas, his grand nephew, would hold the priesthood eternally. But if Hebrews 7:11-12 is correct, the Aaronic priesthood is not eternal. In this particular example, Moses fills the requirement for the test of Deuteronomy …” **
Hebrews 7 is just one of the places in the Bible that, if you used the logic you use on latter-day scriptures, you would prove the Bible to be false.
If you prove Moses was a false prophet, you just also proved the Bible to be false.

How sad. So you think the Bible is false do you? What would your bishop or prophet think of that? And what do you think of the Book of Mormon as it’s plagiarized a great deal of the Bible? It’d be hard to carry a belief in your BoM if you believe the Bible is false so where does your faith go and to whom?

If you look closely at what I said, you will see that I spoke of what would happen IF YOU STUDIED THE BIBLE THE SAME WAY YOU STUDY THE BOOK OF MORMON.
Did you change what I said on purpose, or do you really have that hard of time understanding what is written???????
