Trying the Spirits by Angels’ Hair Color
Times and Seasons, Vol. 3, No. 11, April 1, 1842, pp. 744, 747 “One great evil is that men are ignorant of the nature of spirits; their power, laws, government, intelligence &c., and imagine that when there is anything like power, revelation, or vision manifested that it must be of God…for nothing is a greater injury to the children of men than to be under the influence of a false spirit, when they think they have the spirit of God. Thousands have felt the influence of its terrible power, and baneful effects…The world always mistook false prophets for true ones, and those that were sent of God they considered to be false prophets…How it may be asked was this known to be a bad angel? by the color of his hair; that is one of the signs that he can be known by, and by his contradicting a former revelation.” – Joseph Smith
This is also documented at Internet Archive as well.
1 John 4:1-3 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
Wow. Where do we begin???
Joseph Smith’s giving directions on how to tell whether or not a prophet is good or bad?
Here we have definitive proof from his own mouth, to the Mormon people, it’s okay to walk away from Joseph Smith and his lies!
1. The angel’s hair color is how you can know if he’s true or false? This would be hilarious if not so tragic for the souls of the Mormon people.
2. Smith was right about nothing being more injurious to people than being under the influence of a false spirit. Unfortunately as of 2013, more than 14 million people are under the influence of the demonic spiritual powers of Mormo and his cohorts.
3. A false spirit isn’t determined by hair color – (do we know what color of hair angels have?) – the false prophet is known by whether he’s confessed Jesus has come in the flesh. Remember to watch his terminology! Smith says Jesus came in the flesh, but he came here as a created being, not God incarnate!
4.Members of the Church should take heed to Smith’s ‘prophetic’ words. He and others in the Church, have denounced polygamy and racism.
5.Smith also said angels never have red hair, and you should be able to know if they’re true if they offer to shake your hand. We’re wondering…where is this in the Bible?
