Temple Garments are Protection
Holy Temple, pg 75; “The garment represents sacred covenants. It fosters modesty and becomes a shield and protection to the wearer.” – Boyd K. Packer
Psalm 28:7; “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”
It’s a well known story in the world of Mormonism how someone’s garment saved them when a catastrophe struck. They’ll share stories of how someone ran through a burning building and had no injuries or they’ve been in car wrecks and received no harm.
It’s hard to believe wearing a piece of cotton will protect someone from harm. What about all the Mormons who don’t live through a disaster and they have garments on when they died?
The garment is much like the Jupiter Talisman Joe Smith had in his pocket for good luck when he was shot and killed in Carthage. It’s nothing more than a good luck charm and idolatry.
It has to do with the original “apron of fig leaves” that Adam and Eve made to cover their nakedness. It is entirely Masonic, and has to do with Lucifer being the “giver of knowledge.” Disgusting.
